Encouragement

I could not sleep last night so i got up, got on facebook and checked my e-mail and all that. I accidentaly clicked on saul2paul pics. As I looked at them it was cool to see how much we all have really changed this year. I didnt realize Bobby was bald already! We have come a long way and met a lot of awesome people. God did not allow us to meet by accident. Everywhere we went and everyone we met, we met for a reason. Sometimes when you are a blessing to somebody you may never know until you get to …

GO

Bev and I are fixing our back yard. We have put dirt in and leveled it off and now we are waiting for the right time to sow the grass seed. We are also getting a fence put up. But with all the dirt back there. We have to sweep up dirt like 15 times a day. We, well Bev mostly works her butt off trying to make sure all the dirt is up, but I help too. What if we just got fed up with it and stopped sweeping up the dirt because it feels like that’s all we do? We just keep telling ourselves that when it …

Unconditional Love

This has been a very hard week for me. This week we sent one of our Great Danes, Delilah, to a new home in Rhode Island. There she will be living in a 5000 square foot house, 2 or 3 acre yard, and will be loved. But let me tell you about the days leading up to when we had to send her away. Eight days before we took her, I had to take her to get fixed, and that was hard enough. Only a few days after she felt fine. The day before she left we just spent time with her and loved on her and she loved us back. …

The right tools

Last week at the shop I saw my Pop do something pretty cool. He was helping me fix this car and the wrench he had was not long enough. So he started looking around the shop and he got this metal pipe and the put it in a vice and started hammering on it. Well he ended up sticking one end of that wrench in the pipe and that made the wrench twice as long and was able to get the job done. And another time last week I dropped a socket wrench in out drain well the magnet we have was not long enough. Pop took …

Mustard Seed

Today the Neal House in Trenton, TN is being moved. That is a huge house. And can you imagine what it would take to move a two story house to Jackson? I’m scared to ask. Matthew 17:20 says this “And He said to them, "Because of the littleness of your faith; for truly I say to you, if you have faith the size of a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, 'Move from here to there,' and it will move; and nothing will be impossible to you“.
So that tells me if we had half as much faith as we do questions. We would have a lot less mountains. A mustard seed is about the size of the head on a needle. Why is it that we can have faith that a chair will hold us up. But we can not have enough faith that God will carry us thru the storms in our life. God has brought us this far and He will not bring you this far and let you down. If God brings you to it, He will bring you thru it!
